Real Skateboards: authenticity carved in wood since 1991

The history of Real Skateboards is deeply intertwined with that of modern street skateboarding. Born in San Francisco from the drive of Tommy Guerrero and Jim Thiebaud, the brand was built on a simple idea: making high-quality skateboard decks for skaters who spend their days on raw pavement, far from superficial marketing. True to its founding values, Real also stands out with its Actions REALized charitable initiative, donating a portion of proceeds from select decks to humanitarian causes or supporting skaters in need. Featuring a legendary team with heavy hitters like Dennis Busenitz, Ishod Wair, and Zion Wright, Real has been street-approved since day one.

Elite press technology and reinforced constructions

What gives Real its international renown is the manufacturing quality of its decks, pressed in Deluxe Distribution’s workshops. Built to withstand the daily beating of technical street sessions, Real boards hold their pop and stiffness far longer than average.

Here are the major innovations and flagship products available on our shop:

  • Real Skateboard Decks: Crafted from 7 plies of strictly selected Canadian maple. They deliver a perfect balance of lightness, flex, and pop underfoot. Discover our available skateboard decks.
  • REAL Heavyweights Technology: A specific construction engineered for powerful riders or those who prefer a beefier board. Slightly thicker yet amazingly balanced, these decks are built to handle massive gaps and heavy landings.
  • The Iconic Oval Logo and Timeless Graphics: From the famous oval logo framing the word "REAL" to signature pro graphics, the brand delivers a clean, hard-hitting, and instantly recognizable aesthetic.
  • Real Complete Skateboards: Ideal for ambitious beginners and intermediate skaters. These ready-to-ride complete skateboards pair a pro-grade maple deck with responsive trucks and smooth wheels to help you progress with confidence.
