Why use wax on your setup?

Skateboard wax is an essential accessory for any rider who loves street or skatepark skating. Its role is simple: to reduce friction between your deck or your trucks and the surface you're sliding on (the "spot"). By lubricating your slide zones, you gain fluidity and speed to land your most technical tricks.

How to apply wax correctly?

Applying wax requires precise dosage to achieve the perfect slide:

1. Identify the zone: Pinpoint the part of the ledge, curb, or ramp you'll be using.
2. Apply generously: Rub the wax directly onto the edge of the spot. The rougher or more granular the surface, the more you'll need to apply.
3. On your board: You can also apply it directly to your trucks, tail, nose, or the middle of your skateboard deck to optimize your slides.
4. The slide test: Once applied, test the slide by rubbing your trucks. Adjust if you feel the surface is still gripping.

• Don't over-wax: Too much wax can make the spot "soapy" and dangerous. The goal is to slide, not to lose control!
• Respect the spots: Wax leaves marks and can degrade certain noble materials (marble, varnished wood). Always be respectful of the places where you practice, especially if the location is private.
• Maintenance: A quick sweep or clean often helps to rectify excess wax in a frequented area.
