The Kingpin is the central axle that holds your bushings and connects the parts of your trucks. If it's under too much pressure, it can sometimes bend or break. Good news: there's no need to replace your entire trucks; changing the Kingpin is a simple and economical maintenance operation.

Why does the Kingpin break?

• Extreme adjustment: Overtightening the bushings puts the axle under constant tension.
• Natural wear: After thousands of sessions, metal fatigue can lead to breakage.

Note: Independent trucks benefit from advanced alloys that make breakage extremely rare on recent models.

How to change your Kingpin?

1. Disassembly: Unscrew the Kingpin nut to free access to the axle.
2. Extraction: Using a hammer and a punch, tap the end of the axle to remove it from the truck's baseplate.
3. Installation: Insert your new Kingpin, ensuring it is perfectly aligned before securing it.
