Vans is a Californian brand of footwear, especially skateboarding. Created in 1966 by Paul Van Doren. The first authentic Van's model, known as Vans # 44 appeared in 1966 in the first Vans Store attached to the factory. The brand was then called the Van Doren Rubber Company.
